A travers des expériences collectives, Pauline Bastard observe comment se structurent société, famille, et individu. Pour Construire les liens familiaux, elle a proposé à quatre personnes qui ne se connaissaient pas de s’engager à passer ensemble une semaine de vacances, tous les ans et aussi longtemps que possible. Depuis 2017, l’expérience partagée de Béatrice Clément, Alix Coudray, Harmandeep Palminder et Franck Chevillard donne matière à des films, installations et performances.

Pauline Bastard uses collective experiences to observe how society, family, and the individual are structured. For her Building family ties project, she asked four people who did not know each other to commit to spending a week on vacation together each year, and to continue this for as long as possible. Since 2017, the experiences of Béatrice Clément, Alix Coudray, Harmandeep Palminder, and Franck Chevillard have provided material for films, installations, and performances.
